Mikelle DiBiase was raised in this salon, from the womb to behind the chair this young woman has blossomed and is ready to serve the community that raised her.  Mikelle is Joyelle’s youngest child and has an invested passion in this business. She loves making her clients feel their best and brings all her youthful energy to her services.  From long scalp massages in the shampoo bowl or taking the extra time to consult with you on your haircut, color and style, she brings flare and sass and so much positive energy.

Lavish Skin Studio

Chelle Caron is an up and coming entrepreneur who from the second she walked into Shear Joy has been adding value to every room she touches.  If you see updates to the salon, best bet Chelle made those happen.  In addition to her keen eye for enhancing spaces she is the owner and operator of her own Aesthetics business, Lavish Skin Studio, in her studio upstairs.  Prepare to be cozy because this young woman will show you a lavish experience leaving you feeling bright, fresh and beautiful.

Owner, Joyelle DiBiase

Joyelle first started doing hair in the late 90’s  in a salon formally known as Golden Shears in a red building next to North Yarmouth Variety.  She bought the business in 2000 and in 2002 changed the name to Shear Joy.  In 2006 Shear Joy was moved to our current location. Through the years she has been building the business up with the support and love from her family and coworkers. Her mother, Cindy Decker, and Father, Scott Decker, helped make this dream for her, her children and all the rest of us girls a reality.
